The DNC was all kinds of good time, and the recent VP picks expand the field to a whole new set of curiosities. In answer to that spirit of expansion, guest host Rose Elenbaas, local business entrepreneur, Mother of three, and former Mayor of a small fishing village, has joined our intrepid team as we discuss crazy people, rational arguments, and the National Conventions. These are the days of the Left Coast Liberals, bourbon swilling, and the Democrats. Without this, what would there be?

Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon, which was the river that seperated Italy from the rest of the Roman Empire. By crossing it, he effectivily invaded Rome. Legend has it that at that as they crossed the river he said, "jacta alea est," or 'the die is cast.'

'Crossing the Rubicon' does traditionally mean passing a point of no return, so you were half-right, surprisingly. George Washington crossed the Deleware.

Obviously you hippies don't have books in Humboldt County, but at least stop watching your spaceman/robot shows and watch something educational, like 'Rome.'
